What's the best way for me to fundraise for IDV?

There is no single “best way” to fundraise. However, your fundraising is more likely to succeed if you choose a method which is likely to be fun for you, as well as your friends and family. You should also think about how to leverage your existing networks and what they have to offer. You will also have more success if you usesocial media to let everyone know about your great work!

How should I get the money I raise for IDV to you?

Please see our section about paying in to find out more about the options for getting your hard earned funding to us.

How will IDV use the funds I raise?

Most people tend to raise funds for an IDV project they care about.  However, you are welcome to fundraise for IDV in general. In this case your efforts could support any one of our projects.  For example you could help us rebuild schools in Nepal, build rescue boats in the Philippines or support orphans in Haiti.

Can I raise funds for a specific project?

Absolutely! Just email events@idvolunteers.org to discuss your ideas.

What kind of support can IDV offer? Are there resources available?

We are always happy to talk over any questions you might have. Just email events@idvolunteers.org. We also have resources available to help you get started.

What if I don't have time to plan an event? Can I still fundraise?

Absolutely! You can also join a pre-organised event, or you can simply be an Armchair Ambassador - sharing our social media posts and your own fundraising page can all be done with just a few quick clicks of your mouse.
