Buffy Price: Trustee
Buffy currently works as a senior project manager at Amnesty International in London where she has worked since 2012. Prior to that she has had roles with the International Institute for Environment and Development, and the Animal Welfare Foundation and started out her career as an events organizer and political researcher for the Leader of the Liberal Democrats.
Buffy's far-reaching experiences in the third and public sector serve her well as an IDV trustee.
BSC Neuroscience, Sussex University (2003)
GCSE in Astronomy (A) (2014)
Born and raised in Devon (UK), Buffy moved to London 11 years ago and is now a Londoner through and through. She is still making the most of all the city and is keen on after-work lectures (anything on science), photograph exhibitions and fringe-threatre (mostly because it's cheap). The country girl in her still beckons occasionally and she enjoys hiking and rock climbing whenever she is back in the West Country.
Why did you join IDV?
"I met Andy and Sarah in 2006 while volunteering at the Tsunami Volunteer Centre (TVC) in Thailand in 2006 and followed their world-travels and inspiring work with volunteer communities through the medium of social media. Having an opportunity to be in involved in IDV from the UK was an opportunity I jumped at, although I am still promising I will go out on deployment again one day"
